Basic Oil + Acrylic

Emulate natural media oil and acrylic paints with two digital brush tools.

Oil Basic: Oils have a smooth consistency and a long drying time. This brush simulates the soft, buttery feel associated with real oil paints. It easily blends neighboring pigments, allowing for a gradual build up of layered color. 

Acrylic Basic: Acrylics are known for their matte texture and fast drying time. This brush quickly builds up full-intensity color and leaves a textured edge that simulates paint drying out on canvas. 

Both brushes heavily rely on pen pressure. Full pressure strokes result in more saturated colors and cleaner edges. Lower pressure strokes produce a less saturated glaze. Light, short strokes blend colors together.
