creates and establishes a standardized music notation to read and write the percussive bowed string technique known as chopping, bringing it up to speed with the current playing practice. Created by Casey with Oriol Saña, and in consultation with other recognized choppers, the goal is that a standardized system such as this will enable players and composers a method to share and communicate their musical ideas more easily across the globe.
Over 70 minutes of content, this workshop series demonstrates all 10 notated found within . Each workshop focuses on a specific technique/bow stroke from the included . Players will have a chance to play along with the grooves at different tempos.
Created in an additive manner, each exercise builds on the one preceding and gets progressively more challenging, finishing with a 16-bar etude using nearly all the notation
