The final large stripes towards the end of the project require 30 – 40g of yarn for each stripe (SECTIONS 37 – 48).
The center stripes in the beginning of the project require smaller yarn amounts like 5 – 10g for the stripes up to SECTION 15. These are great opportunities to use smaller leftover bits of DK weight yarn or fingering weight held double.

Needles: Four pairs of US 6 / 4mm in 40” / 100cm length or size needed to obtain gauge
I used a separate needle for each of the four sides. You can use two long needles if you prefer to share one needle with two sides of the Parallelogram. It will be easiest to use four needles, one for each side when you get to the final long stripes at the end of the project.
Notions: Tapestry needle
Gauge: 24 sts & 48 rows = 4” / 10cm in garter stitch before blocking
