Elbow Sprains involve damage to the connective tissue and ligaments surrounding the elbow joint. They are nearly always traumatic in origin and caused by the joint being stretched beyond its normal range of movement.
The following symptoms are associated with an Elbow Sprain:
- Swelling, redness and heat around the affected area.
- Pain when attempting to grip, lift or carry everyday objects.
- Difficulty moving the elbow, hand and wrist.
- Pulsatile throbbing and numbness into the hand and fingers.
In most cases an Elbow Sprain is not serious. However, they can result in stiffness and reduced mobility if left untreated.
Our treatment guide will show you how to manage the pain and accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Strengthening and mobilisation exercises will help you achieve normal pain free movement and prevent re-injury.
