This is a set of high quality, 80 megapixel resolution sky images that have gone through post-processing to bring out some dramatic cloud detail.
The high resolution of these sky images means you can either composite them into large pixel resolution documents or resample them for even higher quality rendering in smaller documents.
Please note: there are two separate downloads, one containing JPEGs, one containing TIFFs. The JPEGs are 8-bit and are tonally adjusted. The TIFFs are 16-bit and are tonally flatter ready for you to perform additional tonal work. Pick whichever format works best for your requirements.
You can use these images in any way you can imagine, but here are some typical examples:
* Sky replacement for a large resolution photograph (e.g. 50/60 megapixels).
* Textural compositing with blend modes (layering over images using modes like Overlay, Screen, Multiply etc).
* Using just part of the image for a sky replacement in a smaller resolution photograph (e.g. 16/20 megapixels).
