Your teacher

Jenney Surelia dances and teaches tango using the idea of ‘connect, communicate and create’ in her workshops as an approach to learning to dance in a couple that makes you adapt, engage and think in the moment.

In 2005 she started a taste of tango as a regular class at Pineapple Dance Studios to get more people dancing in London. Since then she has taught courses, private lessons and workshops in London and other European cities. In 2013 she was invited to teach in Italy and started a tango project for young dancers in Tuscany. Jenney has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, made a BAFTA nominated short, appeared in a DJ Shadow video and played her selection of beautiful tango music at milongas and festivals on the continent.
