What’s this class about?

It’s about the art, the science, and the heart of telling a story well. Some stories are long and drawn out and take us into all sorts of new territory, other stories are pared down and sparse, without one extra word. Whatever their length or complexity, why do some stories captivate us and others…don’t? How do you get better at telling a story-whether it’s about your life or somebody else’s or it’s something you made up out of thin air? I want to show you in this class what I’ve learned about telling stories, from the big concepts to the smallest, practical skills.
