You're pre-ordering my new digital book which tells my humble story of internet business success - as just a regular guy with a day-job and kids....but how it's completely transformed my life.
If you just can't wait for the book (aiming for a Nov 6 2013 launch), you can listen to this interview
where I share (some) of my story on the Internet Business Mastery podcast.
The new ebook is a work in progress but should contain the following:
How black mold got my a$$ in gear to start my online business for realWhy I absolutely love the affiliate marketing business model over all others (Spoiler Alert! It's all about the win-win-win.... or Everyone's a Winner!)How I made $10,000 in one month through a video tutorial I offer for free to the worldHow I made that video tutorial (the gear, software, tips and tricks)How I leveraged my work on sites like Udemy.comHow my internet business almost destroyed my family - and what I did to right the ship without losing my incomeHow my internet business income is paying off a huge debt in months rather than the years I thought it would takeHow I used a really awesome community of like-minded people (aka the IBM Mastermind) to help me push past problems with my businessHow (and why) I went months without working on my online business --- except for replying to thank you emails and comments and cashing affiliate cheques in the bankAnd some more helpful stuff I'm sure... :)
Why am I offering this ebook for free (or more correctly as "pay what you want")?
I plan to use a similar business model for this ebook as I did with my video tutorial which has proved to be very successful for me. That business model is to provide the valuable information for free (or pay what you want) and have affiliate links to recommended products within the material - so that if any reader signs up for those products/services through my links, I will make a commission on the sale (without any additional cost to the reader).
Other reasons I want to keep this ebook free:I'm not promising a solution for you. I'm just telling my story and what's worked for me. I ain't no guru on this stuff...so I don't feel like it's right for me to charge you for it. That's just how I roll.I want to share my story with as many people as possible...I really truly believe in this internet business stuff and I've always found the success stories of others just so damn inspiring (and motivating). I'm happy to be one of them now...and hope you can be one too.
Here's how the book might start:
July 31, 2013
Part of my daily ritual after I put my kids to bed, is to open up my laptop on the couch and reconcile my bank accounts with YNAB, my personal budget program (which stands for You Need A Budget).
This is also the time I'll pay my bills and do my general banking.
But on the evening of July 31, 2013 I was about to do something a little more amazing than simply pay the bills.
You see, that morning I had gone to the bank to deposit the largest cheque I had ever held in my hands (not physically, of course). The cheque went into the bank machine and got deposited into my business checking account, and that night I was going to be transferring $4000 from that account over to my Line of Credit.
I was tingling with excitement at what I was about to do - which was to make the first significant dent into this $68,000 debt that was hanging over our head since 2007 when we discovered a black mold infestation that we had to get rid of.
I called my wife over to join me on the couch to share in this momentous occasion.
We both couldn't believe this was really happening, how huge it was for us, and the possibilities we now had for a better future for our family.
October 8th, 2007
When my daughter woke me up coughing, I had that dreaded feeling that something was terribly wrong.
Her door was closed so our rummaging about in the evening wouldn't disturb her sleep. And as I opened the door, slowly as to minimize the squeaks, there was this rush of thick, musty air that penetrated my senses....and as my heart sank into my chest, I could only think of one thing, "It's gotta be black mold."
