SCROOGE (1935) - Ep. 2 - GHOSTS ON THE BIG BROWN COUCH

Johnny just wanted a nice quiet Christmas. Alas, the Ghosts (and a secret visitor) won't have any of that. As things get particularly crazy, it's time for a break with a holiday classic. Well, A CHRISTMAS CAROL WAS a classic, anyway, until Sir Seymour Hicks got his cantankerous paws on it. Mr. Hicks' performance alternates between hysterics and sleepwalking, in 1935's SCROOGE. All the while, he staggers through a single set that looks like it cost about fifty bucks... er, pounds, to hammer together.

It's hard to enjoy such a film... unless you have three or four smart-a**** beside you to share your plight. Fortunately, THE GHOSTS ON THE BIG BROWN COUCH are there for you!

Scrooge was visited by three ghosts on ONE night of his life... what a lightweight. Johnny has to put up with a trio of them living with him seven days a week!

This episode of GHOSTS ON THE BIG BROWN COUCH is an all-in-one video that includes animated intro AND epilogue. Stick around after the movie to see just how bad Johnny's holiday turns out. Afterward, you'll never again complain about that ugly sweater your grandmother once knitted you for Christmas, we guarantee.

This episode is the equivalent of, oh, a PG-rated movie. There are a few mild curses from the Ghosts. The naughtiest words have been carefully bleeped, because we didn't want anyone to get coal in their stockings

Special thanks to our generous and impressive guest talent for this episode: announcer Nick Koontz, and guest stars Lisa Graham and writer/director Joseph O’Brien (DEVIL'S MILE, ROBOCOP: PRIME DIRECTIVES).
