This simple but powerful American fiddle tune is great for all levels of players and works well as an introduction to using a left hand lead to facilitate incorporating a variety of arranging ideas including: (1) the concept of swing; (2) shifting accents to the “two and four” counts; (3) adding chords; (4) drones; (5) valley rolls; (6) variations. Most of the ideas are quite simple once you nail down the hammering! This is a great tune for beginners.
