Weekly writing prompts.
A self guided program.
Every Monday, get started with the conversation-starting prompt that help you converse with... you.
A self-guided program, you will be working through the weekly prompts that have been used previously by guests of past projects of Dipika Kohli's, including The Mirror, Self, and Slow Moment.
These programs were designed to help you slow down, make a space for yourself, invite uninterrupted quiet time to be part of your routine, and in so doing, help you focus on that inward journey.
In the conversations through internet connexion and writing books since Kismuth's editor DK started them in 2012, beginning with the publication of her memoir The Elopement, many awakenings have surfaced. Most importantly is the common thread in the sharing about how simply showing up, for oneself, to make time to have a conversation with herself, can open the gateways to all kinds of new perceptions. This is not therapy, this is not counseling, this is not sitting over a cup of tea with your best friend. This is you, showing you for you. And that's it. And we are shaping these weekly prompts for those who are self-starting, but also, who might like the low-key version of making space that is 100% self-guided.
You'll also get a copy with your subscription of the zine, 'Trust the Process.' It was created by DK's other studio, Design Kompany, where layout and design are applied to writings that get us to stop and note what it means to 'make.'
Here's one of the pages from the inside...
Yes, it's not easy to say 'yes' to showing up to write for yourself, to yourself.
Inward reflection is big work. But the inward journey is one that, DK has personally learned through writing her 4-set eBook memoirs, mostly metaphysical investiations, will help you, personally. Use the toolkit of prompts get closer to your own responses to the big questions in life. Of course what that looks like is very different for different people. Use this tool to give yourself a structure, and to hold yourself accountable, for making some time each week to ask what's meaningful to you.. The first prompt is called, 'Find your time.' Ready, set. See you on the other side... 💙
Note: This program is designed to be 100% self-guided. You'll get weekly writing prompts, but this program excludes any interactive conversation. In the past, our cojournal projects were built on that, primarily: conversation in very small circles. That has shifted, to another space If you are seeking conversation and dialogue, discover Interactive Papers Project.
