Myths of Sujin Tennō

The tenth Tennō, according to the traditional lists, was Sujin Tennō. Many of the myths of his reign are concerned with the veneration of the kami, including stories of sacred marriage, of oracles, and of the establishment of hereditary lines of priests. They are thus of great importance for the origins of Shinto.
