Lookdevelopment Environment for Corona

Lookdevelopment is about eliminating variables and focusing on shading/texturing, and this scene aims to do exactly that.

With neutral lighting and correct calibrated colors, this lookdev environment ensures that you get reliable shading results across various lighting conditions.

E.g. if you do lookdev in a very warm or extremely bright environment, your shader might not look as you would expect if you suddenly change the lighting.

Another example might be that you have multiple artist working on assets for the same scene, but they all do their shading in different lighting conditions,the assets might end up not fitting very well together, when you combine the assets in the scene.

That's where a neutral lookdev environment comes in handy.

It makes sure that if you add 50% grey material, that it will be 50% grey in render as well, or if you add 8/133/161 blue color that it's the same in render.

This scene use IBL-lighting to get more realistic and nice looking reflections.

A lookdev neutral environment might look a bit boring, but it does it's job.I suggest changing the lighting, if you wanna present your shading to someone.

Included in the scene is my Shaderball.

The shaderball has lots convex and concave shapes, as well as hard edges.So it's perfectly suited for testing Ambient occlussion effects or curvature maps.It's also closed model with a pretty solid thickness and you're able to use volumetric shading such as SSS and refraction.

This scene is free and CC0.You are allowed to do with it whatever you want, and use the shaderball for other purposes or renderers.
