UPDATE: THIS NEWSLETTER USED TO BE WEEKLY AND PREMIUM. I'VE RECENTLY DECIDED TO MAKE IT ~MONTHLY AND OPEN TO EVERYONE.

If you want, you can name a fair price – but it is not needed. It depends on your financial availability and it can be 0. Otherwise, you can also support me on Patreon.

Luca's newsletter

The newsletter format has stagnated for the last 20 years. We receive more and more of them, but remember less and less.

Think about your favorite newsletter. Can you remember the contents of the issue-before-the-last-one?

Reading them is entertaining, but does little towards building a permanent body of knowledge we can stand on top.

Hence why I decided to write a new newsletter, which does three things for you.

1) Insights. Every month, you get to read 2-5 essays personally written by myself. You'll learn about business, management, human behavior, macro-trends, complexity, and decision-making. Moreover, you get a compilation of the best quotes, thoughts, and ideas I come across recently.

2) Spaced repetition. Every few months, you receive a Review with the most important bits from the past issues, to consolidate the insights from my newsletter in your mind.

3) Building blocks. If you subscribe to the Roam version, you can get much more out of the newsletter. Keep reading to know how.

About Luca

Hi! I'm Luca Dellanna, author of 7 books. My best resumé: my followers on Twitter.

I recently began experimenting with publishing in new formats. I've recently published the first Roam book and I'm now innovating how newsletters get published.

A Roam-based newsletter

Roam Research is an application that allows you to build your own “personal wikipedia” of interconnected information. If you subscribe to the Roam version of my newsletter, every week, in addition to the email newsletter, you will also receive a Roam file to import into your Roam graph.

The contents of my RoamLetter seamlessly integrate and link with the contents of your body of knowledge. They become available for further research and note-taking. Never before the expression “download information to your brain” has been more literal!

The newsletter is written so that its editions link with each other and with the information you wrote. For example, let’s say that in today’s article I write a paragraph on Amazon and e-Commerce. If you have other articles on Amazon in your Roam graph, my essay will link to them, and they will link to it. Moreover, two weeks later I can publish a new article referencing the past one, and it will also reference the notes you took two weeks ago. It all fits together!

Another advantage of a newsletter written to be read in Roam is that the content is nested. You can easily skip what you’re not interested in, and dig deeper into what matters for you, without feeling like you’re missing something.

If you do not want to import the content of my RoamLetter into your graph, no worries. You will have access to the read-only version of the RoamLetter graph, which includes all past editions.

Finally, Roam is constantly adding new features. I plan to take advantage of all opportunities they can offer to better use and communicate knowledge. By subscribing to my RoamLetter, you get a seat at the forefront of innovation.
