Intention Qi Gong refers to employing Mind-Intention (Yi) to guide Qi through the body, channels and acupuncture points. Author Wang Xian Bin was born with a frail constitution that no medicine was able to cure. As a last resort, he learned Intention Qi Gong. After 100 days his illness was completely cured. In the words of the author: Afterward, realizing that this must be done everyday, I practiced this method continuously for over sixty years. This year I am seventy-six, and still so healthy and so physically and mentally strong, that no one can believe that I suffered from infantile sickness in my childhood.
Wang Xian Bin has instructed hundreds of people in this method of Intention Qi Gong and produced this book in order to spread the art openly. Wang’s instruction is detailed and precise and to aid correct practice he created three short poems to aid correct practice of this method.
Intention Qi Gong is practiced sitting in a chair and takes only 10 minutes a day to perform. As Wang himself says: There are no mysterious secrets. If trained persistently, real results can be achieved in one hundred days.
This short book is clear and easy to understand. Editor Tom Bisio and Translator Huang Guo Qi have provided notes to explain any confusing terms as well as alternative names for acupuncture points.
