North Carolina Breakdown (Fiddlin' Arthur Smith, U.S.)

This simple fiddle tune is an absolutely fantastic illustration of the enormous advantages of a left-hand lead. The descending bass line in the A part goes through a full scale and the B part uses valley rolls and arpeggio fills and much more. I include backup ideas, a harmony and LOTS of variations! LOTS! When folks say "I don't know what to do in a fast tune," well, here is your answer! There is some super challenging material in the variations. Be selective!
