My name is Sebastian Lauber better known as the person behind Lobotomist Fotografie (Lobotomist Photography).
I was born in 1983 and live in Erfurt, Germany. The pictures in this edition are the result of a journey that took more than 5 years.
I wasn’t trained to be a photographer. After leaving school I decided to start a commercial education Ð a solid career. And it worked out quite well, although there always this nagging feeling that something important was missing in my life. I have always been a big fan of horror movies and am an active member of the dark, gothic and metal scene. Art, music and movies with a gloomy, weird and even creepy touch always got my attention. Especially the works by Clive Barker, H. P. Lovecraft and Stephen King as well as the music by Wumpscut and similar bands inspired me.
I had to use all this influence to create something of my own.
