Meditation on the "Om" Mantra (Extremely Simple and Easy)

✅ With the power of Mantra, a person can achieve anything. The power of Mantra has the ability to change destiny.

✅ This is one such mantra that is revered by all religions around the world.

✅ "Om" is the provider of Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kama (desire), and Moksha (liberation). Simply by chanting "Om", many practitioners have achieved their goals. Koshitaki Rishi was childless, and upon chanting "Om" with meditation on the Sun, he was blessed with a son.

✅ The significance of "Om" is repeatedly emphasized in the Srimad Bhagavatam. In the eighth chapter, it is mentioned that the one who recites the Brahma, represented by "Om", at the time of leaving the body, attains the highest state.

✅ According to the "Dhyana Bindu Upanishad", the specialty of the "Om" mantra is that whoever chants it, regardless of being pure or impure, surely achieves their target. Just like water does not stay on a lotus leaf, no impurity affects the one who chants this mantra.

✅ The practitioner attains this world through the Rigveda, the intermediate space through the Yajurveda, and the world known to scholars through the Samaveda. And through the support of the Omkara, the wise one attains that world which is peaceful, unaging, immortal, fearless, and most superior. - (Prashna Upanishad Question 5, Verse 7)

✅ "Om" itself is everything. It explains what was, what will be, and what is; hence it is Omkara. Apart from this, the entity that transcends the three periods of time is also Omkara. -- (Mandukya Upanishad, Gaudapada Karika, Verse 1)

✅ Not just in Sanatana Dharma, but also in other religions and philosophies of India, "Om" holds a significant place. In the Buddhist philosophy, the use of "Om Mani Padme Hum" is common for meditation. According to this mantra, "Om" is believed to be situated in the "Manipura" chakra, which is like a lotus with ten petals. Jain philosophy also highlights the significance of "Om". Great saint and poet Kabir also accepted the importance of "Om" and wrote "Sakhiya" about it —

"Omkar is the beginning I know.

Writing Om cannot be removed.

Whoever writes Omkar,

Their writing can't be erased."

Guru Nanak, highlighting the importance of "Om", wrote —

"Om is the true name, the creator Purush is fearless, is without enmity, and is the form of the eternal."

This means that the person who chants "Om Satnam" becomes like the "Akal Purush", who is fearless and without enmity.

"Om" is the sound of the universe and a symbol of the divine that resides within a human.
