SilverLUX for Capture One: Black and White Styles

SilverLUX for Capture One is a set of “Styles” that are designed to give your RAW images a black and white effect. There are 25 Styles in total included with SilverLUX. The set also comes with a collection of 20 grain presets that makes use of Capture One’s excellent grain function to give you a range of grain options.

System Requirements

SilverLUX requires a Mac or PC running Capture One Pro12 or later. You must have a computer capable of running this version of Capture One.

You should also have a good working knowledge of the software and basic computer operations such as copying files and folders.

Some General Note about Styles & Presets

Not all images are suitable for all styles. Some images just won’t produce pleasing results and won’t be appropriate for the looks you may be trying to use, depending on the subject matter.

It is also important to note that any style won’t be a magic bullet. One should consider the use of these styles as a starting point. More often than not, images may require additional adjustments after applying presets. Sometimes you will need to adjust exposure or brightness and contrast depending on your photo. When trying SilverLUX, consider making a clone of the variant that you’re working on, so that you don’t lose any adjustments you’ve already made.
