Magus Builds Part I

Weapon casting is a concept that was originally introduced in Pathfinder for archers with the Arcane Archer and then later introduced for the melee fighters through the Magus. The magus is a great character class. However, the problem with the Pathfinder Arcane Archer was that it required you to take a prestige class.

Well that problem was solved with the Arcane Archer created by Purple Duck. The Purple Duck (PD) Arcane Archer basically creates a Pathfinder Compatible “Magus Archer” while keeping the power level on par with that of the standard Pathfinder Magus. At the end of the day, the melee magus has more damage potential and a stronger Will Save. The PD Arcane Archer has the advantage of shooting a bow and is stronger in the less important Reflex Save.

Because of the balance of the PD Arcane Archer and because it is basically an Archer Magus, I am including it in this Optibuilds’ Magus Build PDF Part I. It’s time to give a little love to a Third Party Pathfinder product.

While the PD Arcane Archer and the Pathfinder Magus are strong when optimized in typical fashion, they are even stronger when optimized in accordance with Optibuilds’ Skills PDF Part I. It’s time to kick butt weapon casting while riding a monster.
