NOTE FROM ALEX: 2020 was the worst year in history for selling sponsorships. It was also game-changing when it comes to the value of online content. Online digital presence is now a must for you, your sponsors, and ME! So I started creating content to help racers. The content is what you need to raise money from sponsors, but be patient with the early presentations. They are amateur at best.
I hate speaking into cameras, so my nervousness is obvious in the early recordings. It's like your first interview in front of crowded grandstands. The good news is, I'm getting more comfortable with time, so the newest recordings are much better than the early ones.
But that doesn't matter because technology is not as important to for me as the content. Technology will always change, but the content is what closes deals. This content is exclusive. It's effective. I'm sharing all the techniques and strategies that helped me go from never getting call backs after sending out a deck to always having sponsors answer the phone when I call. When people know you, they'll do the same. These lessons will help you help them get to know you.
Sponsor dollars are great, but you're going to race anyway, so it's only the icing on the cake. The real value of sponsorship comes from respect, credibility, and your new partner's network of resources.
The pride in representation creates confidence on the track and when interacting with fans. It improves your value to everyone -- your sponsor, the fans, and you. If you look for the right partner, instead of looking for money, your program and income will grow for the rest of your career. And you'll never have to stick your hand out asking for money ever again! Now you can spend more time practicing and wrenching than knocking on doors and chasing cash.
A seed becomes a tree. A tree becomes an orchard. Plant the right seed with the right sponsor and grow together. HOW TO DO IT is what these video lessons, audio recordings with sponsorship directors, and new Meet The Sponsors webinar recordings will teach you.
I will keep adding as many resources to this platform as time allows. If you have questions about anything, let me know. I'm here to help.
