T wiped the sweat from her face. She had managed to get the cogs and the gears working. The ticking started up again. It was a sound she was still getting used to. She looked around at her surroundings, the small cramped room filled with mechanical gears, cogs, and axles.

who is this book written for?

I wanted to create a book that would: 

• make people think 
• a story which captures my childhood daydreams
• a story which would make people look for clocks and give their own little story
