A more recent composition, this tune is widely played in old-time circles. The piece has a mixolydian feel with the toggling of the D and C chords. This piece is an excellent vehicle for exploring variations especially in rhythm (swing, syncopations, anticipations, rag rhythms etc.). I also present the concept of left hand lead and the many advantages it affords to add all sorts of cool stuff! There is an awful lot here! I hope you will explore the many variations which I present.
