What you’ll learn.
This package is designed to be used in conjunction with Cal Newport’s book, So Good They Can’t Ignore You. The book makes the case that following your passion is bad advice. Passion is like the raw ingredients for a meal, it takes some work to get it ready.
This package will not stand without the book. You have to get the book, read it, and engage with the action questions I’ve constructed in order to get any effect what-so-ever. Then you can look at the Master File which includes extended stories from people in the book and more including; musician and author Amanda Palmer, movie director Brian Koppelman, author Austin Kleon, comedian Steve Martin, and Adam Carolla among many others.
How it works
Read the book, when you finish a chapter, check the Master File to expand your thinking on the ideas you just read about. When you get an email, read the summary and then take the action step within that email. Sometimes these will be short, others will require more reflection.
Emails will come every three days once you place an order, the Master File is a download that can begin immediately.
About the Book:
About this book, Ben Casnocha wrote, "Having read most of the major career books in the field when writing The Start-up of You, I say with confidence that Cal’s is one of the best yet written."
Derek Sivers had similar good things to say, "Shockingly smart thoughts about your career. A MUST-READ for anyone who is not loving their work, wanting to quit their job, and follow their passion, or not sure what to do next."
