Last June 2014 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The same disease that my mom succumbed to when she was 49.
The past few months of treatments and "INTENSIVE ME TIME" has forced me to re-evaluate what matters most in my life. It has given me the space to dig deeper on who I am, how I can nourish and nurture myself and fiercely guard my terrain both the physical and relational.
Having cancer gave me the chance to understand the importance of the Buddhist teaching "everything starts with me." It made me realize what I needed, that alongside the physical treatments that I was getting, what I needed was a bit more of SOULCARE.
