The fun thing that happens when you live in Cambodia is that you have an incredibly tight, quick line to all the latest gossip in that country.

At the time of this writing, team members of DK are collaborating to put together a very light, special issue for 28 July,  S P A C E Battambang, 'The Week the American Jumped Quarantine.'

Was it this week, one of our team members asks, or isn't that old news? Another: 'Yeah, I heard about that.' Still another told it to DK, and DK went searching for news, but of course, news being the kind of thing it is these days you just don't know what's what, and we couldn't find anything, besides.

How people are coping with their situations where they are is one story, how we are finding out about things happening in the places where we have deep, dear ties, and reacting, together, in the cloud, is yet another. This is that jam.

Feature photographer is Akira Morita, a co-founder of DK.

Akira Morita

Akira Morita took this cover photograph as well as inside images, while in motion in Cambodia this month. Since 2014, Morita has been based in Phnom Penh, where he consults with myriad groups to offer his own brand of: design thinking, innovation strategy, and workshop facilitation. His projects, thematically, tend to be related to learning, listening, and the practice of... well, practicing. Morita is a founder of Design Kompany, which publishes this e-mag every Tuesday in the cloud. DK started in Seattle in 2004.
