Quick tutorial: https://youtu.be/Y1toAnAI_S4
Basically, this Ableton Live project file uses dummy [silent] clips to automate volume (using the Utility device and clip modulation).
Simply drag the project file into your set via Live's browser and then route any audio you wish to be affected to the Stutterer track (via the 'Audio To' drop-down).
* NOTE: You must set the input monitor to "In" on the Stutterer track for it to function.
You can easily replace the Utility device with anything you want (e.g. Auto Filter) by adding your desired device onto the track and copy & pasting the Utility Gain modulation into the clip modulation for the required parameter of your newly inserted device (e.g. Filter Freq). Try it with your favourite VSTs!
You can also drag and drop multiple instances of Stutterer into Live in order to use more than one pattern at once.
This was designed to be added to - I just included some building blocks and basic functionality so you can get creative with your own clips and alternative devices.
* TIP: Try using Live's "Follow Action" feature to automate clips for more variation. Enjoy! =)
There are other virtually identical releases out there but this one is created for Live 10 and is also FREE (donations welcome though, lol) :-P
