What's the difference between good designers and great designers? I contend that while good designers have attained comfort in the mechanics of their trade, great designers understand and actively mind the tradeoffs associated with the design decisions they are making.
Design trends come and go, but if you understand the tradeoffs associated with them you'll be taking a step in the right direction of deliberately designing your web and mobile solutions.
This cheatsheet is made to help specifically junior web/mobile designers. It is a single-page list with some of the most common design elements available today and a rundown (if somewhat a subjective one) of some key tradeoffs that each of them present.
I hope that it at least makes you think a little deeper about your design decisions going forward.
I'm providing it as a free download with a pay-what-you-want option in case you find it valuable enough for your design workflow. I would've accepted a cup of coffee, but until technology fixes that minor detail about us having to be in the same physical location for that to happen, I suppose a suggested $2 tip would be fine as well :)
Note: You DO NOT need to enter your credit card information in order to download the cheatsheet. Your email address is sufficient.
Thanks and hope you find it helpful!
