Behold! The first track from my song-a-month online album release: Trash Can Song, in all its crunching, loping glory. Turn this up loud, on a system with some thump.

The lyric (other than the first line) is told from the perspective of an older, wiser person who still has some spark in them. I'm at a stage in my life, neither very young nor old, where I play both roles, sometimes the learner, sometimes the teacher - so I sort of see it from both sides.

I'm extremely happy with the way this came out sonically, from the actual trash cans and Brazilian bass drum to the hints of Beatle-y psychedelia. May it help you out of whatever headlock in which you may currently find yourself, self-inflicted or otherwise.
