This three week course is designed to teach teachers how to use Google Earth and Google Maps in their classrooms. The obvious uses of these tools are in geography lessons. In this course we’ll start with social studies and move into uses of Google Earth and Google Maps in language arts, science, physical education, and mathematics (elementary level) lessons.
In this course you can learn:
1. How to create multimedia maps.
2. How to build virtual tours.
3. How to collaboratively create multimedia maps.
4. How to map data.
5. Options for multimedia mapping with students who don't have email or Google accounts.
In addition to the three live webinars you will be invited to participate in private discussion forum between class meetings. You can use the forum to ask questions and collaborate with classmates.
