Cervical Spondylosis (Neck Arthritis) occurs when the soft spongy discs that cushion and separate the joints of the neck become thinner with age. As a result, the joints sit closer together and begin to wear which results in periodic irritation and stiffness.
The following symptoms are associated with Cervical Spondylosis:
- Intermittent toothache type pain and stiffness which is worse in the morning.
- Reduced range of movement and inability to fully turn the head or bend the neck.
- Symptoms come and go but gradually become more frequent and worse over time.
- In severe cases there may be tingling or pain into the arms, hands and fingers.
Cervical Spondylosis is irreversible, however the effects can be managed well with gentle mobilisation exercises and by keeping the surrounding muscles relaxed.
Our treatment guide will show you how to manage the pain and accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Strengthening and mobilisation exercises will help you achieve normal pain free movement.
