Pour Me Another

Pour Me Another: An Opinionated Guide to Gold Country Wines 2011, which was published at the end of June 2011, is a personal and entertaining guide to the wines and wineries of California’s El Dorado and Amador counties. The Gold Country is easily accessed from both the San Francisco Bay Area and Reno, Nevada. There are well over 68 wineries in these two counties alone. Pour Me Another introduces the reader to the wines and wineries in Gold Country. I discuss the wines produced in the region. The book has entries for all of the wineries and vineyards who are members of the local wine making associations. There is no way I can discuss every wine produced by every winery. I feature a dozen or so wineries in each county with longer entires, offering tasting notes for several wines from each of these wineries. In addition to maps and driving tips, every winery’s entry will provide a page where the reader can jot down their own tasting notes for the wines tasted while visiting.
