Forbidden Dance

Forbidden Dance is the perfect showcase for your advanced middle school or beginning high school jazz band. This minor cha-cha is a hit with students and parents alike! Forbidden Dance is the perfect chart to introduce your students to both the minor sound and Latin rhythm. (Cha cha is the most accessible of the Latin Jazz grooves.) The solo section is a moña in F minor.  Chord changes are in every part. Each section of the band has their own background figures that work great together or alone, allowing for each soloist to have different sounding support.

Lead trumpet plays a written F (top line of the treble staff). Rhythm section parts have chord changes and notated comping. The guitar parts has tablature as well as standard chord symbols.
