GHOTI: Volume 3, Dads

GHOTI: Volume 3 is a black and white 32 page zine containing short stories, illustration, photography, reviews, comics and even a 'Draw A Dad'. This edition is loosely on the theme of dads, for no particular reason. If you know nothing about dads, it probably doesn't matter much.

GHOTI is a constructed word used to illustrate irregularities in English spelling. It is a respelling of the word fish: i.e., it is supposed to be pronounced /ˈfɪʃ/. It comprises these phonemes:

gh, pronounced /f/ as in tough /tʌf/;

o, pronounced /ɪ/ as in women /ˈwɪmɪn/; and

ti, pronounced /ʃ/ as in nation /ˈneɪʃən/.
