Swar Salad is a 4-part Naadyoga Exercise created by Sandeep Ranade ‘Naadrang’. It’s aim is to improve swar and shruti accuracy and master every 3-note phrase from every Raga, in every positional permutation, in minimum time.
After having done this exercise, when one encounters an unfamiliar Raga, every phrase in that Raga will have already been practiced, thanks to the Swar Salad. This creates a solid foundation for not only classical, but also semi-classical and light music.
It is much harder to unlearn than to learn. The video demonstrates all the 6 positional variations for all the 32 note variations for the the entire octave and will make your riyaaz more effective and correct. It will help you learn the correct swar/shruti frequencies for each phrase.
