Castle of Doom - Print and Play Board Game

You’re a famous treasure hunter (er, umm…. archaeologist) who has just discovered the location of an ancient castle rumored to be holding a number of priceless artifacts. But there’s competition. Some rival (and less noble) grave robbers have also learned of the castle’s value, so it’s up to you to save as many items as you can. After all, they belong in a museum.

Game Play Overview:

At player’s turn revolves around moving around the board, following the various movement rules for different spaces (traps, treasures, opponents, etc.) collecting treasures and using cards in order to help in those tasks. Players are trying to gather points with each treasure they grab, but they are also looking for treasures with keys. Once they have 3 keys, they are able to enter the throne room and grab the King's Jewels (a whole stack of treasure tokens). But watch out, once the throne room treasure has been taken, the whole castle begins to crumble and players gets 3 turns to escape with their lives!

About this Beta Release:

Castle of Doom is a game my son and I have been making together over the last few months. We've done a lot of in-family play testing and feel it is now ready to get a broader range of feedback from other adventurers. Castle of Doom is a movement-based game inspired by Indiana Jones and the original Fireball Island (but with a lot more choice and strategy due to the open layout of the map). It's a blast as a family adventure game and there have been many times the whole table has been amazed by an incredible Indy-esque sequence of swinging in, swiping a treasure, punching the opponent and making a run for the door.
