HOW IT WORKS

This template will help you keep track of all expenses on your construction or remodel project. You start by entering in your actual Budget for each Main item, such as Plumbing, Concrete, Electric, Inspections, etc.

Then, you'll add each new invoice or receipt underneath the Main budget item and enter in the Actual Cost. When you do this, your expenses are automatically calculated along with your Actual vs. Budget total to show you if you are over or under budget on each Main budget item.

In this example: The entire Concrete/Labor/Material budget is $20,000.

You have Invoices for various parts of the Concrete budget, such as the Concrete labor costs, form materials, concrete, sand, etc.

You then enter each Invoice as part of the Concrete budget with the Actual Cost of the invoice or receipt.

• You then link the Invoice to the Main budget category and your Total Amounts ($) are then calculated.
• In the example, you can see we're $1,500 over-budget in the Concrete category
