Food For Change for Long Beach

If you want to learn about food co-ops watch this outstanding feature film. The director, Steve Alves, has given the Long Beach Grocery Co-op a link to help us get new members.

Food co-ops pioneered the quest for better quality foods in the 1970s. Now they are leading the way to establish regional networks of farmers, food producers, and cooperatives. The Long Beach Grocery Co-op is part of this growing movement. Join with us! 

We need to raise $30,000 in the next 45 days to do a market survey to help us determine the type of space needed, product mix, and to pay for legal fees. A food co-op in our city will increase our ability to support local farmers and food producers to uplift our own community and families' health.
