Allows you to quickly assign materials to assets based on material slot name.

This has saved me a lot of time when I import many modular assets that share material instances between each other. In this way, it's intended for use with a library of reusable materials rather than one-off material assignment.

To add to the library and use:

1. Open "AssignMaterials" Blueprint

2. Go to "MaterialSlotNames" variable and add the names of your imported material slots

3. Go to "MaterialInstances" variable and add the material instances you wish to use. The first element in the array will correspond to the first material slot name. Compile and save.

4. Select the assets that need assignment and right click > Scripted Actions > Assign Materials. Replace Only Default Material checkbox means it will only swap out the designated default material from the assets. If "None", it will default to the WorldGridMaterial. Most cases you simply hit OK without any changes.
