UPDATE: Unity has now released a comprehensive guide of their own for free and I recommend checking that out (https://unity3d.com/solutions/photogrammetry) as they have a proper tool now for de-lighting. This will still be available for free as a reference since the photography tips can still be quite handy :)

This is a comprehensive two-part guide to photoscanning (a.k.a. 'photo-based 3D scanning' and 'photogrammetry') on a budget.

The first PDF gives you a workflow from; getting better photographs from Lightroom, to doing green screen removal, to creating a scan in Photoscan and then on to optimising and cleaning up this scan with Blender 3D. The optimisation and cleanup also includes texture baking with xNormal and an ambient occlusion de-lighting process workflow.

The second PDF, titled 'Photoscanning budget studio setup, workflow & photography guide', will help you to take your photographs with its own workflow for doing this, along with tips and guidelines on what to look out for.

The software used in the guide is as follows: Agisoft Photoscan (standard edition), Agisoft Lens, Blender 3D, xNormal, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

There will be a slight delay after purchasing but you should get the guide within a few minutes. A second edition is in progress for some small changes for a slightly better workflow, if you have any questions about the guide feel free to email me at JFPhotoscans@hotmail.com
