This beginner drum lesson follows the practice pad exercises Snare Solo 1 and Snare Solo 2 of the "Drum Practice Academy Book". These snare licks prepare you for Snare Solo 3. After you learned how to play and read quarter and eighth notes, you now learn how to deal with 16th notes.

On the DPA YouTube channel you can find the Play Along videos of that Solo from 50 to 120 bpm. Each Video consists of five repetitions. This Snare solo is a perfect drum exercise for beginners to start with. This drum lesson can be played on the snare or the practice pad (drum pad). It improves you stick control, hand technique; you learn how to play precise, accurate, tight and how to read rhythmic notation.
