Profile PictureSpace Budgie

Space Budgie is a BAFTA nominated independent games studio. With a focus on games that do more than solely entertain, our titles teach concepts and educate, tackling unexplored and difficult topics through the medium of games. Formed in 2013, Space Budgie has two commercially released titles to date: 9.03m, an empathy game designed to humanise and remember the victims of the 2011 Japanese Tsunami and our current project, Glitchspace, a first-person puzzle platformer that tasks players with reprogramming the world around them to solve puzzles. As a small close-knit team of developers, Space Budgie’s work has been recognized across the wider games community and beyond in pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the games medium. Highlights include presenting at GDC’s Experimental Gameplay Workshop, being an official selectee for the Game Master's exhibit and recognition in The List's Hot 100 as one of Scotland’s top cultural contributors of 2014. 2015 will see the continued development of Glitchspace, with a full launch of the title expected later this year.
