Christmas Shopping 2007 Guide: Best Comedy DVDs

Comedies are becoming a more and more popular genre to make and to watch every year. Some of the top comedy actors like Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller are just as popular as action heroes. Many people will be asking for comedy DVDs for Christmas this holiday season. If you know somebody that likes comedies then be sure to add these DVDs to your shopping list or watch for free on the site 123Movies.

Knocked Up

Knocked Up was the highest grossing comedy of 2007. The movie stars Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl, who are a couple that have gotten pregnant and must decide whether they should stay together for the child or not. Knocked up is funny but also has a serious side to it as well. Judd Apatow has gained quite a following and if you like to get around the television and laugh at Christmas time then this is the DVD for you.

Superbad

Superbad also has Judd Apatow's name on it as producer and it features one of the best scene stealers in comedies, Jonah Hill. Jonah Hill is joined by Michael Cera, who are out to have one last great party before they go off to college. Superbad has some nice moments but also some raunchy moments. Superbad probably will be right up there with Knocked Up as the most asked for comedy this Christmas season.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

I'm not a big fan of Adam Sandler or Kevin James but both are popular so the comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry will be at the top of many Christmas lists this holiday season. The movie also stars Jessica Biel, which I'm sure will appeal to many guys.

Evan Almighty

The sequel to Bruce Almighty wasn't quite as critically acclaimed as the original and was actually a little bit more serious. But Steve Carrell is one of the most popular comedy actors today and I'm sure many people will want to own it this Christmas.

Borat

Borat is an older comedy than the others on this list but it must be on many people's shopping list this year because it remains one of the most popular DVDs according to Amazon.com. If you know somebody that doesn't have Borat yet then it would be a good addition to their comedy collection this holiday season.

School for Scoundrels

School for Scoundrels wasn't as big a movie as the others on this list and to be honest I have not yet seen it. But surprisingly it is one of the ten most popular DVDs on Amazon.com. If that many people are buying it then you might want to add it to your Christmas shopping list also.

Night at the Museum

Ben Stiller might be my least favorite actor because all of his movies are awful but I actually really enjoyed Night at the Museum. It was cute and Ben Stiller didn't overact like he usually does. There are also good guest appearances by Luke Wilson and Robin Williams.
